Ten years of hard work delivers Competence for the Future
Right from day one at Rail Tech delivering competence to the UK signalling industry has been the priority. To ensure this commitment would be continuously fulfilled a new division Rail Tech Training was developed. Although, initially formed in 1994 to provide training for its own staff, it will now have the capacity to deliver technical and safety training to over one thousand candidates per year. These include both staff from external clients and the ever-increasing in-house workforce. Following a decade of hard work, dedication and an investment of over one million pounds it is now regarded by many as the leading independent rail training academy in the country. A team of highly qualified trainers and support staff operating from sites in Ipswich and Bedford deliver the highest standards of training available. Lord Tony Berkeley, Chairman of the Rail Freight Group, officially opened the recently extended academy in Ipswich in March. The facility has an excess of 10,000 square feet of unparalleled indoor practical training area, which is combined with a series of modern well-equipped theory suites. This resource has now been expanded to incorporate a brand new, full sized, SSI training facility, which will allow engineering and safety training on the very latest S&T technology. Rail Tech Group Ltd prides itself on the fact that it is not an overnight success. It has steadfastly developed over the years, gaining an in-depth knowledge of the industry and developing the business around its ever-changing demands. In other words, the hard work and commitment will continue.
